When my daughter was born, it took only a few months for her to develop a sleep habit that had her waking up in the night. Our only option was to sleep in a bed next to her until the morning, taking turns every night, so that the other could rest. This continued almost every night for three years, at which point she suddenly began to sleep on her own. I found a new appreciation for something that is considered a mundane part of everyday life.

This EP is not intended to put one to sleep, or listen to while sleeping, but is a collection of songs made while thinking of the quieter, slower aspect of the night. Our vision is worse, but our hearing seems to be more aware. Plus, at least for me, sleep is rarely a long, continuous thing, as there are interruptions and changes -- some welcome, some not so much.
